PopularWhat exactly is a weight loss pen?
A weight loss pen is a pre-filled, auto-injector device containing a GLP-1 receptor agonist medication — most commonly semaglutide or tirzepatide. These medications were originally developed to manage type 2 diabetes but have since received approval for chronic weight management.
The pen delivers a precisely measured subcutaneous (under-the-skin) dose that works with your body's natural appetite-regulating hormones to reduce hunger and support sustainable fat loss.
What active ingredients do your pens contain?
Our pens are available in two formulations:
- Semaglutide — a once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics the gut hormone GLP-1 to regulate appetite and insulin secretion.
- Tirzepatide — a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist offering an additional hormonal pathway for enhanced metabolic support.
Each product page lists the exact concentration, dosage range, and excipients. Always confirm ingredients with a healthcare professional before starting.
Are your pens the same as Ozempic or Wegovy?
Ozempic and Wegovy are brand names produced by Novo Nordisk that contain semaglutide. Our products contain the same active compound — semaglutide — in equivalent concentrations, but are supplied through licensed pharmaceutical partners as part of a compliant supply chain.
If you have questions about equivalency, we recommend consulting your prescribing clinician or pharmacist.
How It Works
PopularHow do I use the pen?
Using the pen is straightforward and is designed for self-administration at home:
- Choose an injection site — the abdomen, outer thigh, or upper arm are all suitable.
- Clean the area with an alcohol swab and allow to dry.
- Remove the cap, pinch the skin gently, and press the pen firmly against the skin.
- Press the button until you hear a click and hold for 10 seconds.
- Dispose of the pen safely in a sharps container.
Full illustrated instructions and a video guide are included with every order. We also have a 24-hour support line if you need assistance.
How often do I inject, and when?
Most of our pens are designed for once-weekly administration. You can inject on any day of the week — just pick a day and stick to it. The injection can be taken with or without food, and at any time of day.
If you miss a dose and your next scheduled dose is more than 48 hours away, take it as soon as you remember. If it's within 48 hours of the next dose, skip and resume your regular schedule.
How does it actually suppress appetite?
GLP-1 receptor agonists work by mimicking the hormone GLP-1, which your gut naturally releases after eating. This hormone signals to the brain that you are full, slows gastric emptying (meaning food stays in your stomach longer), and reduces the drive to eat between meals.
Over time, many people find they are satisfied with smaller portions and experience fewer cravings, particularly for high-calorie foods — making it easier to maintain a calorie deficit without intense willpower.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. In line with UK regulations, all prescription-only medications on our platform require a valid prescription issued by a registered clinician. Our checkout process includes an integrated online consultation with a licensed UK prescriber who will review your health questionnaire.
If you already have a prescription from your GP, you can upload it directly at checkout. We do not supply prescription medications without clinical oversight.
Safety & Side Effects
PopularWhat are the common side effects?
The most commonly reported side effects, particularly when starting or increasing dose, are gastrointestinal in nature:
- Nausea (most common, usually mild and temporary)
- Vomiting or diarrhoea
- Constipation or indigestion
- Fatigue, especially in the first few weeks
These typically improve significantly as your body adjusts over 4–8 weeks. Starting at a low dose and titrating slowly as advised by your clinician greatly reduces their intensity.
Who should NOT use a weight loss pen?
These medications are not appropriate for everyone. You should not use a GLP-1 weight loss pen if you:
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2)
- Have a history of pancreatitis
- Are under 18 years of age
- Have a known hypersensitivity to semaglutide or any excipient
Our online consultation will screen for contraindications. Always disclose your full medical history and current medications to your prescribing clinician.
Can it interact with other medications I take?
GLP-1 medications can affect the absorption of oral medications by slowing gastric emptying. This is particularly important for medications with a narrow therapeutic window, such as warfarin or thyroid hormone replacement. If you take insulin or other blood glucose-lowering agents, dose adjustments may be required.
Please provide a full medication list during your clinical consultation. Your prescriber will advise on any adjustments needed.
Is it safe to use long-term?
Clinical trials — including the STEP programme and SURMOUNT trials — followed participants for up to 68 weeks and demonstrated a favourable long-term safety profile for semaglutide and tirzepatide respectively. Cardiovascular outcome data from the SELECT trial also showed a significant reduction in major cardiovascular events.
Ongoing monitoring by your prescribing clinician is recommended for any long-term treatment. We support all customers with access to regular check-ins through our clinical partners.
Ordering & Delivery
How do I place an order?
Visit the product page for the pen you'd like, add it to your basket, and proceed to checkout. You'll be guided through a short health questionnaire reviewed by one of our clinical partners. Once your consultation is approved and payment is confirmed, your order is dispatched.
The whole process — from consultation to confirmation — typically takes less than 24 hours on weekdays.
NewDo you offer subscription plans?
Yes — our subscription plans are the most popular way to buy. Subscribe and save up to 20% compared to one-off purchases. Subscriptions are dispatched on a rolling 4-week or 8-week cycle and can be paused, adjusted, or cancelled at any time from your account dashboard with no fees.
Subscribers also receive priority dispatch, free express delivery, and access to our dedicated support concierge.
How is my order packaged and delivered?
All orders are dispatched in plain, discreet packaging with no reference to the product contents on the outside. Pens are shipped in a temperature-controlled cold pack to maintain product integrity during transit.
We use tracked 24-hour courier services as standard. You'll receive a tracking link by email and SMS once your order leaves our fulfilment centre.
What is your returns and refund policy?
Due to the nature of prescription medications, we are unable to accept returns of opened or used products. If your order arrives damaged or there is an error in fulfilment, please contact our support team within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence and we will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
If your online consultation is not approved, you will receive a complete refund within 3–5 business days.
Results
PopularHow much weight can I expect to lose?
Results vary by individual, but clinical trial data offers a useful benchmark. Participants using semaglutide 2.4mg (Wegovy) lost an average of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks. Those using tirzepatide 15mg (the highest dose) lost up to 20.9% of body weight over 72 weeks — the highest weight loss outcomes recorded for any approved pharmaceutical.
Results are meaningfully enhanced when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and regular physical activity. Our programme includes optional nutrition coaching to help you maximise outcomes.
When will I start to see results?
Most people begin to notice appetite suppression within the first 2–4 weeks, even at starting doses. Measurable weight loss — typically 1–2 kg — is usually visible within the first month, with the rate increasing as the dose is titrated upwards.
Peak effects are generally seen at the maintenance dose, which is typically reached at weeks 16–20 depending on the titration schedule. Patience and consistency in the early weeks are important.
Will I regain weight if I stop using the pen?
Clinical evidence does indicate that some weight regain can occur after discontinuing GLP-1 therapy, particularly without the dietary and lifestyle changes reinforced during treatment. The STEP 4 extension trial found that participants who stopped semaglutide regained approximately two-thirds of their lost weight within a year.
This is why we emphasise building sustainable habits throughout your programme. Our lifestyle coaching and continued support are designed to help you maintain your results for the long term, with or without ongoing medication.
